Amanda Porcheron

Registered Massage Therapist

After many years abroad as a humanitarian aid worker throughout Asia, I now find my sense of purpose supporting people at home in my community.

I was born in Australia and grew up in the Okanagan before being lucky enough to go overseas as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. After ten years abroad working and learning about other cultures, I returned home to BC in 2012 and have proudly called Vancouver home since. I graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and continue to regularly attend continuing education courses to enhance my skills and absorb best practices from the healthcare profession.

Having witnessed the power of supportive health circles with my own family through a variety of life experiences- including various cancers – I am passionate to support cancer patients (including mastectomy rehab) and those undergoing pre/post surgery procedures. It excites me to share my knowledge of the human body with others so that we can understand, appreciate and be amazed together.

I enjoy riding my bright yellow Vespa around Kits in the summer for ice cream, camping, scuba diving on Salt Spring Island, and cooking or barbecuing for friends. I am avid traveller and have been to over twenty-five countries. My future travel dreams include Morocco, Bonaire and the Togean Islands in Indonesia.

I speak both English and Thai.

I provide an LGBTQ+ friendly and Trans Safe Space and strive to ensure an environment that is comfortable and open for everyone to receive optimal care.

I do not offer direct billing at this time. My preferred methods of payment are etransfer or debit. RMT receipts can be submitted to insurance providers or ICBC for reimbursement- check your individual plan for details.
