Elli Klaus (she/her)

Registered Massage Therapist

I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2006 and have experience treating a wide range of conditions and pathologies. For over 15 years, I have also been involved in teaching massage therapy and instructing in student clinics.

During a period of extensive and repeated surgeries due to skin cancer, I realized how invaluable MLD treatment is, not just pre- and post-surgery but also in the management of tissue health and scarring thereafter. This led me to become certified in MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE AND COMBINED DECONGESTIVE THERAPY at Austria’s Vodder Academy.

I am very interested in scar management and have taken continued training in scar treatment and burn scar massage. For the best outcome, scar treatment should begin soon after surgery for most folks. This involves a non-invasive, gentle and pain-free approach that respects the healing stages of scar tissue. Please reach out to me directly for guidance on timing for treatment! I am also passionate about supporting clients through cancer treatment and recovery, mastectomy care, edema prevention/management and pre/post-surgical care. Please reach out for any questions regarding the use and benefits of lymph drainage for the various stages of healing and recovery.

I welcome folks post top surgery or other gender-affirming treatment and surgery and provide a safe space for gender-diverse and queer folks.

Please note that our office has two gendered washrooms on the 18th floor. The only accessible washrooms are located on the main floor.

I can bill insurance companies through the following extended health providers and portals: Pacific Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, providerConnect and Telus eClaims.

You can contact me at elli_klaus@hotmail.com for questions or pre-booking consultations.

My work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Selilwitulh (Tsleilwaututh) First Nations. As a settler, I am committed to ongoing learning from Indigenous peoples about meaningful ways of caring for this land and its people.
